Scope of Services

Therapy Services (Massachusetts Residents)

Licensed psychotherapy is provided exclusively to Massachusetts residents via secure telehealth or in-person sessions, in accordance with state law and LCSW supervision requirements. By attending therapy sessions, you affirm that you are physically located in Massachusetts at the time of the session.

Therapy services officially begin only after all four of the following conditions have been satisfied:

Therapy services with Realization Counseling officially begin only when all of the following conditions are met:

  1. You are physically located in Massachusetts (or intend to receive services exclusively while you are in Massachusetts).
  2. You have completed and submitted all required intake paperwork, including the informed consent and teletherapy consent forms.
  3. You have filled out and submitted your BPSSA form (Biopsychosocial Spiritual Assessment).
  4. We have met for your first scheduled therapy session.

Until all four conditions are satisfied, no therapeutic relationship exists, and any communication (including consultations, emails, or messages) does not constitute therapy.

Coaching Services (Non-Massachusetts Residents)

Therapy-informed coaching may be available to adults residing outside Massachusetts. Coaching is not clinical therapy and does not establish a therapist-client relationship or fall under HIPAA protections. However, coaching clients’ information is treated respectfully and with high standards of privacy and discretion.

Coaching services with Realization Counseling (Realization Consulting LLC) begin only when all of the following conditions are met:

  1. You are physically located in a jurisdiction that permits coaching services (e.g., outside Massachusetts or within MA while explicitly not engaging in therapy). Coaching may be provided across state and international borders unless prohibited by local regulations.
  2. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with any local laws or regulations that apply to receiving coaching services in your location.
  3. By scheduling coaching services, you attest that you are permitted to receive coaching under the laws of your jurisdiction.
  4. You understand and agree that coaching is not psychotherapy. Coaching does not involve diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical intervention, or documentation intended for insurance reimbursement. Coaching is educational, skills-based, experiential work designed to foster personal growth and transformation.
  5. You have submitted payment or selected a payment plan for the agreed-upon coaching program, package, or session.
  6. We have met for our first scheduled coaching session OR you have received access to the first module/material in a defined coaching program (for structured programs).

Until these conditions are met, no coaching relationship exists, and any communication (including inquiries, consultations, or discovery calls) does not constitute coaching.
